Softball

Courtney loves softball! She is playing for Westlake high school. Shis a freshman this year, but she is playing on the sophomore team and also on th JV team. She plays first base or short stop, but mostly this year , they had her playing first. The season started off really cold with a lot of the games being cancelled due to bad weather or bad field conditions. Finally warmed up and season is over. It was nice that she could play on both teams because sometimes the sophomore game would be cancelled but she could still play JV.

It was a good season. Will look forward to next year. Love you Court! Proud of you!

Better late than never

Courtney has played volleball, basketball and softball this year in high school. I am going to post pictures of softball and realized I never posted basketball. These pics are from Jan.- Chelsea and her little family was here visiting and was able to go to a few games which was so fun!

My cute grandson Preston spotted Courtney out on the court
                                                                  He was sooo excited!!

Courtney has a love for sports and amazingly she is really good at
all of them. I reallly enjoy going and watching her play!

Christmas!!

I love the Christmas season and we had a wonderful Christmas. It was a little different this year because Chelsea and Corinne's families weren't here with us this year. We missed them , but we enjoyed our little Christmas with just us four. I am already excited for next year when I can have my whole family home for Christmas.

Our kids will be coming for the New Year! We love them so much and can't wait to see them!

Thanksgiving in Arizona

We had Thanksgiving in Arizona this year with Chelsea, Corinne and their families. We also spent it with my mom and dad and brother and sister. It was nice to see everyone and be in some nice weather. We left very cold conditions here in Utah and had some wonderful sunny days while we were there in Arizona. I wasn't very good at taking pictures ( I never am) but we did get a few pictures at Bass Pro Shop the day after Thanksgiving. We took Preston there to see Santa. (He didn't like him very much). We very much enjoyed seeing our cute little grandson and we are so excited that the next time we are there in Arizona, we will have another cute little grandson!!

Chelsea trying to warm up Preston for Santa, as you can see below, it didn't work!!

My cute girls, and of course, Preston!

A lot has been happening the past few months!!

Wow! I have been really bad about posting. Well, volleyball is over and Courtney is now playing basketball. I don't have any pictures of her playing, but I will post some soon. Courtney had a deer hunt back in October and she shot her first deer!

                                                         Isn't she cute?
Kevin also had a hunt the first part of November and he shot a deer in New Mexico

                                                                 He is cute too!

Volleyball...

Courtney is playing volleyball at Westlake High school. She is playing sophomore and also JV. The teams have been struggling a little because it is a new school and such a new program, but she is loving it! They have started to win a few games and it has been fun to see them grow as a team. Courtney has an awesome serve (she is small , but mighty) and she is an all around good player. I am sometimes amazed at how this little 5'3 girl can jump and spike that ball over the net! Love you Court, keep it up! I wish I had some good action pics, but I don't have the right camera for that.
